Sweetwater - Mill valley Raise the roof!!

Had a great time performing for the raise the roof campaign "Euro style" to build a Blues Hall Of Fame in Memphis Tennessee and supporting this great cause last night at the legendary Bay area New Sweetwater music Hall ... Over its 40-year history, the original Sweetwater hosted performances by artists including Weir, Carlos Santana, Clarence Clemons, Elvis Costello, Gregg Allman, Huey Lewis, Jerry Garcia, Maria Muldaur, Sammy Hagar, Richie Havens and many other musical luminaries. In 1992, BBC Television shot a documentary at the club featuring Bonnie Raitt, John Lee Hooker and Ry Cooder. That same year, Hot Tuna recorded two live albums at the Sweetwater. The new club intends to carry on this storied tradition.

The Raise the Roof concert series began with a stroke of inspiration as Earl Thomas decided to support The Blues Foundation's "Raise The Roof!" campaign to build a Blues Hall Of Fame in Memphis Tennessee, by donating his time and talents as a blues artist. Word quickly got out about Thomas’ project, and it wasn’t long before he saw many of his fellow musicians from around the world aligning with his cause and offering their help. As a result, the Raise The Roof Concert "Euro Style" will feature performances by two of Thomas' European friends. Along with Earl Thomas & The Blues Ambassadors a rare US performances by Swiss multi-platinum selling blues star Philipp Fankhauser and world class UK guitarist Eddie Angel, Sacramento's Cole Fonseca & Phoenix Jubilee and Island Of Black & White. Plus bay area notables Tia Carroll, Wendy Waller, and King TuffnStuff: The Last Delta Drag King as well as other surprise guests!
